Why liners are single-use, not washable, no reuseUpdated a month ago

RemZzzs® liners are not designed to be washed or reused. Washing or reusing a liner changes the cotton in ways that affect comfort, fit, and overall performance.

1. Detergent residue

Even very gentle soaps can leave traces that may:

  • Irritate sensitive skin
  • Cause redness or itching
  • Transfer residue to the mask cushion

2. Loss of shape

Cotton naturally stretches during use.
Washing can make the liner:

  • Looser
  • Misshapen
  • More prone to wrinkles and folds
  • Less effective at supporting a stable seal

3. Increased leaks

A washed liner may not lay flat or align correctly with mask openings, which can lead to leaks or shifting.

4. Bacteria accumulation

Detergents and water do not fully remove what collects in the fabric overnight, such as:

  • Oils
  • Sweat
  • Skin cells
  • Contact with foam or silicone
  • Humidifier moisture

Using a fresh liner each night helps ensure more consistent comfort, cleanliness, and performance.
