Overnight humidifier moisture or natural sweating is normal — the cotton is designed to absorb this.

However:

• If a liner gets soaked before use (e.g., dropped in water), discard it.
• Wet cotton can fold, bunch, or dry stiff.
• Even small pre-use moisture exposure can distort the shape.

Always start with a dry liner.
